History

Since the founding of Advent Lutheran Church in 1966, Advent's members have committed themselves to doing the Lord's work in Solon and the surrounding communities. Many pastors have provided leadership and guidance and several improvements have been made to our physical property and location over the years, but one things remains consistent. We seek to know and worship the Lord Jesus Christ as we grow in relationship with God and one another and serve the needs of all those around us.

Our Facilities

Fall 1965 - 3.2 acre site purchased on the southeast corner of Harper and Cannon Roads.

January 1966 - Construction of new church building begins.

April 24, 1977 - Dedication of addition of the multi-purpose fellowship/ecducation are and worship overflow space with enlarged narthex.

Fall 1992 - Completion of the newly expanded narthex, education wing, restrooms and additional storage space.
